Yorick van Wageningen is a Dutch actor, who was born on August 14th, 1964. He performed in American and Dutch movies, which include the movie The Chronicles of Reddick. Yorick was born in Baarn. After featuring in several Dutch movies, plays, and television series, Yorick was asked to come to Hollywood to feature in Steven Spielberg's Minority Report. Because of problems with his visa, he was not able to work in that movie, but appeared in a number of Hollywood movies,
getting a golden opportunity with his role in The Chronicles of Riddick. Yorick received appreciation in the Dutch press for his role of Ronnie, who was an Amsterdam gangster and experiences a spiritual resurrection after miraculously surviving in an assassination attempt, in the 2013 movie De wederopstanding van en klotzak. In 2017, Yorick was reported to be shooting one of his last major roles, for Simon de Waal's The Fear of God, and a remake of 1973's Papillon, before getting his focus to ""improve the position of artists in the Netherlands.
