Wilson Ng

Wilson Ng is an actor, host and is famous for his work in cinema as well as television. He was born in Singapore, on September 21, 1962. He received his education in Serangoon Garden Technical School in Singapore where he was part of his school debate team as well as the National cadet staff sergeant in his NCC group.

He was also part of acting courses in New York University Tisch in Singapore and Singapore Media Academy. He actively participates in events like the Gain City Expo Show and was recently at Brunei’s biggest Consumer 21 Exhibition 2018.

He trained in Information Technology as a salesman and then for twelve years, worked in a company called Challenger Singapore where his specialization was in computers and projectors. He worked there as a freelance in their IT events as well as their roadshows.

After this, he worked as a part-time sales presenter for LG Electronics in Singapore for a year, where he specialized in mobile phones. He is also a sales specialist certified by the technical giant, Microsoft. He has been part of various product launches, the most recent ones include graphics card and MSI motherboard launch for Corbell.

He is also involved in print advertisements like those for Thomson Osteogard and Gleneagle Hospital, both in 2013 and Epins in 2011. He has been a freelance actor since 2008. His acting career spreads over commercial movies, advertisements, feature films as well as television shows.

Some of his significant work in dramas are Mata Mata, Mediacorp’s Chap 5, Code of Law, Crimewatch, Cold Blood, Confession of a Crime. He has played both lead roles and supporting roles as well as cameos. He was also seen in 2nd Virgin, a Japanese drama. He has the talent of speaking in Thai and Japanese English accent and Malaysian and mainland Chinese which make him a very versatile actor.

As far as Television Commercials are concerned, he featured in advertisements for Toyota, UGS gas, Panaflex Polar glass jelly drink, Samsung mobiles. He has also contributed to ads related to social issues like an anti-corruption video which also won the Gold prize in the international anti-corruption video competition.

Wilson has been part of feature films both local and foreign, like I Carried You Home, by a proficient Thai director Tongpong Chantarangkul. Apart from his profession his interests in include playing computer games, watching movies and surfing the internet to increase his knowledge.

He is part of Casting call Singapore and Actors Guild of Singapore. He is a believer of excellence and continues to work hard to achieve his dreams.
