CAST & CREW
The story of Moondram Ulaga Por is challenging; it is a war film. But it is not a real life story as some films claim themselves to be. It has taken cinematic liberties and deals with India-China war that takes place in 2015. Surprisingly the director has offered a solution to the problem too.
Set in the backdrop of 2025 Moondram Ulaga Por has Sunil playing a Major General in the army of India. The Chinese forces harass Sunil for getting information about where their soldiers are held as captives. Being as patriotic as he is Sunil bears all the problems and warns the Chinese soldiers that they will be taught a lesson. It happens that Sunil is wedded to Akhila Kishore, and she is in the family way. Well, how Sunil braves all odds form the rest of the story.
Sunil has a meaty role, and he looks good in his well-developed body. Also, he fits the role to the T. Akhila Kishore has only little scope to perform. Wilson enacts the role of a Chinese officer and has done a commendable job.
Moondram Ulaga Por has the distinction of being the pioneer in full-length futuristic movies in India. It is a fitting tribute to those Indian army men who are so altruistic in their approach. The war sequences and patriotic dialogues elevate the movie to a new level.
