Born on 7thSept, 1966, Toby Edward Heslewood Jones is an English Actor and the son of actors Jennifer and
Freddie Jones
. Histwo brothers are Rupert (Director) and Casper (Actor). He studies and trained in drama from University of Manchester and L’Ecole International de Theatre Jacques Lecoqin Paris. He has done some theatre starring in the London West End ( Comedy) and The Play What I Wrote. As a Truman Capote, he got his first breakthrough in the biopic Infamous. He has done several films with varied roles to play which includes The Mist (2007), W. (2008), Frost/Nixon (2008), Captain America: The First Avenger (2011), Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (2011), Berberian Sound a Studio (2012) and many more.
Apart from playing different characters in several films, he has worked in television also. He appeared in 2010 episode “Amy’s Choice”, of Doctor Whoas the Dream Lord, Dark Eyes (Audio Drama)as Kotris, ITV Mini Series Titanic, played one of the Seven Dwarfs in Snow White and The Huntsman, Dr. Paul Shackleton in
Red Lights
and Max in Virginia.
He also appears in Music Video for Gomez’s Song “Whippin’ Picadilly” and voiced Dobby in the Harry Potter Films, title character of the BBC Radio 4 adaptation of Oblomov (2005), Radio 4 adaptation of the John Irving’s “A Prayer for Owen Meany”, Joey Oldman in the BBC Radio 4 series The Corrupted etc.
He was nominated for Golden Globe Award for Best Actor for his role as Alfred Hitchcock in The Girl.
