Seth Rogen

Seth Rogen is a Canadian born actor, comedian, writer, and director. He has been a huge cultural icon and movie celebrity in the years spanning his career in Hollywood. Rogen was born in Vancouver to a Jewish family who engaged in social activism. His early years were spent in the pursuit of comedy, knowing that nothing else was better suited to his wit and comic potential. He joined the Mark Pooley’s workshop and began doing regular stand up at the age of 12. He was often engaged by local bars, small parties, and bar mitzvahs to perform an act which primarily revolved around his everyday life as a Jewish teenager. He was only 13 when he co-wrote the iconic teen movie, ‘Superbad.’ He came second at the Vancouver Amateur Comedy Contest when he was 16. In the same year, he dropped out of high school after he was cast on the set of the show ‘Freaks and Geeks’ to support his family.
