Joshua IIan Gad was born on February 23, 1981. His rise to fame came when he voiced the lovable snowman Olaf in the animated movie Frozen. Gad was actually born in Hollywood, Hollywood Florida that is. His mother was a real estate agent while his stepfather was a financial advisor. Josh is of the Jewish faith as his father was Jewish immigrant. In college Gad was extremely smart winning the National Forensics League National Tournament Championships in 1998 and 1999. He would go to attend Carnegie Mellon for the arts which he graduated from in 2003. His studies would solidify his desire to act and be in show business. Josh Gad’s first debut came on the TV show Back to You where he played a character named Ryan Church. He then was noticed by The Daily Show where he became a regular. He served as a correspondent where he would report on issues ranging from gay pride to cash for clunkers. He also had supporting roles in both 21, about card counting and in The Rocker.
