Edward Asner is commonly known as “Ed Asner” is an American actor born on November 15, 1929, in Kansas City, Missouri located at the United States. He is known for his great works as a film actor, an actor on stage and television and also as a voice actor. He also worked as a political activist playing a vital role in the SAG strike in 1980 and participated actively in other movements like that of the freedom of Mumia Abu-Jamal and the single-payer health in California. This marriage of Asner somehow did not work out, and he underwent a divorce in the year 1988. Once again he was engaged to a producer named Cindy Gilmore in 1991 and got married the successive year on August 2, but soon again Gilmore called for a divorce in 2007, which brought his married life to an end. Asner also fathered an autistic child Charles, conceived by Carol Jean Vogelman in 1987. He also had associations with a non-profit organization which deals in Autism. For several years, Asner reserved his position in the Threepenny Opera, an off-Broadway production and he attempted petty subjects as a film actor and made a few TV appearances, in 1950.

Asner has been in the world of Hollywood for over half a century and has marked his arena with works that speak of his talent.
