He is active in the Hollywood film industry right the year of 1991 until the present. He got married to Catherine Fitzgerald in the year 2010, and the couple has five children. He is quite popular for his detective character that he did in the HBO drama namely The Wire.

It has become a huge hit, and he was awarded for his acting. He is also regarded for his role in the drama series namely The Affair. It is a romantic comedy, and his acting was phenomenal.
