David Boreanaz is an established American actor, producer and director. He was born on May 16, 1969 to Dave Roberts and Patti Boreanaz in Buffalo, New York City. His father is an Italian while his mother is half Swiss, French, German, Irish and a part Slovak. He is the youngest among his two sisters, Bo and Beth. When he was 7, they transferred to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania when his father got a job in WPVI-TV or Channel 6, an ABC associate based in Philadelphia. David was brought up as a Catholic and so he went to Catholic Schools in Pennsylvania. He studied at Rosemont School of the Holy Child then, he went to Malvern Preparatory School where he played as an athlete on a football team. Later, he took a degree in Cinema and Photography and graduated at Ithaca College in New York.
In 1993, David made a guest appearance in the American sitcom, ‘Married…with Children’; his very first paid acting performance. Later, while he was walking his dog near their house, his neighbor suggested his name to the producer of the very popular television series, Buffy The Vampire Slayer; so he was cast in the show from 1997 to year 1999. Because of the success of the show, David was starred in the television series, Angel; a spin-off from the Buffy The Vampire Slayer from year 1999 to 2004. He donned the role of a 200-years old Irish vampire who battles for the salvation of his soul. David also played as a Vampire’s victim in Scott Mabbutt’s Macabre Pair of Shorts.
He made his lone starring role in a theatrical film through the slasher film, Valentine in year 2001. A year later, he did a supporting role in the romantic comedy film, I’m with Lucy which stars Monica Potter and
Henry Thomas
. He was also offered to do the main lead role in the film, Resident Evil but the actor turned down the offer. In year 2003, David was part of Dido’s music video for the song, White Flag. He was also the voice behind Squall Leonhart in Kingdom Hearts video game. In year 2005, he started to appear in the current crime comedy-drama series, Bones on Fox opposite with Emily Deschanel. He later played as a biker in the Canadian film, These Girls. David was featured in two independent films, 2006’s Mr. Fix It and Suffering Man’s Charity in 2007. David was also part of the supernatural action film, The Crow: Wicked Prayer. He played the role of the Satanist, Luc Death Crash. In 2006, he was featured in another DVD release together with Nick Lachey in The Hard Easy. David voiced the character of Hal Jordan (
Green Lantern
) in the 2008 direct-to-video superhero film,
Justice League
: The New Frontier. The actor also produced the series, Bones since its 3rd season and directed one episode each season since the 4th season. The entertainment-based website, BuddyTV ranked Daniel at 13th place in its ‘100 Sexiest Men of 2010’. He was ranked at 18th place in year 2011. He also bagged the role of Ed T. Rush in the 2011 film,
The Mighty Macs
. In 2013, David was featured in Full Circle series where he essayed the role of Jace Cooper. Subsequently, he was starred as Detective Les Scanlon in the action thriller film, Officer Down.
David got married in year 1997 to Ingris Quinn but got separated in 1999. Then in 2001, he re-marries actress, Jaime Bergman and the couple has been blessed with a son named, Jaden Rayne Boreanaz in 2002 and one daughter named Bella Vita Boreanaz in 2009. David had a reconstructive surgery on his left knee in year 2004 due to a running injury that he had in high school but was not completely healed at that time. After this, he made his directorial debut in the ‘Soul Purpose’ which is the episode 10 of season 5 of the series, Angel.
