Wes Anderson (Wesley Wales Anderson) is an American film producer, director, actor, and writer, popular amongst the international audience for his work in movies like Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009), The Royal Tenenbaums (2001), Isle of Dogs (2018), Moonrise Kingdom (2012), etc. Mostly known for his predominant involvement in Hollywood movies, theatres, and English TV series, this veteran filmmaker has been nominated at the Oscar Awards not once or twice, but for seven times.

Born on 1st May 1969 in Houston, Texas, U.S, his father Texas Ann worked as an archaeologist and realtor and his mother, Melver Leonard Anderson, worked in public relations and advertising. He has two brothers, the younger one being Eric Chase Anderson, a writer, and artist, and elder brother Mel, a physician. Wes completed his schooling from St. John’s School and during this time, he used to make silent films. After that, he graduated with a degree in Philosophy from the University of Texas at Austin, but he always wanted to pursue a career in writing.

In 1996, Wes came up with his first film named Bottle Rocket, which performed miserably on the box office but was critically acclaimed. For five years, Wes was a part of many projects on the silver screen but in 2001, fortunes fell in favor for him as the film ‘The Royal Tenenbaums’ turned out to be immensely successful and was nominated for an Oscar.

Since then, Wes has contributed to Hollywood with a lot of critically acclaimed and multi-award-winning films. Some of the awards that his films have won during his career are Golden Globe Award, BAFTA Award, Silver Bear, etc. Wes is currently living in Paris but he has spent most of his life in New York. Robert Rodriguez, whose full name is Robert Anthony Rodriguez, is a director, writer, businessman, and producer of American descent. Robert was born on June 20, 1968 in San Antonio, Texas, United States of America. His mother, Rebecca, was a nurse while his father, Cecilio G. Rodríguez, was a salesman. Robert also has two sisters named Angela Lanza and Patricia Vonne. Once, Cecilio bought a VCR with a camera for his son, and since then Robert became fascinated with films. He attended St. Anthony High School Seminary, San Antonio. There, his teachers Gabe him the responsibility to record and videotape the school football team's matches. However, since he used to focus more on the audience's reactions, the teachers fired him. Robert also met Carlos Gallardo while at school and they would shoot short films together. Later, he studied at College of Communication, where he became interested in cartooning. Since his grades were poor, Robert was unable to secure an admission in the film program of the institute, and so he created a comic strip named Los Hooligans. Most of the characters from the strip shared similar traits with his family members and relatives. In 1990, he participated in a local contest of films and managed to impress the jury. As a result, the authorities of College of Communication decided to revoke their original decision and included him in their program. Robert made a movie called Bedhead for the competition which attracted rave attention and graced several film festivals. Within few years, Robert bagged his first mainstream project titled El Mariachi. Since then he has worked on Spy Kids Series, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl, From Dusk till Dawn, and much more. He loves to shoot in Mexico and Texas. Robert is the member of A Band Apart and is the owner of a television channel named El Rey.He married to Elizabeth Avellán in 1990. The couple has five children. However, they separated after being together for sixteen years. They both continue to share a cordial, professional relationship. Robert briefly dated Rose McGowan. Robert not only produces, writes, and directs, but sometimes also dons the hat of an editor, production designer, Steadicam operator, sound editor, photography director, visual effects supervisor, production designer, and composer. He has also written a book titled Rebel Without a Crew. Robert is a supporter of digital filmmaking and has released several series of DVDs.


Roger Hawkins

Roger Hawkins is a prolific director and actor, known for The Lion of Judah (2011), The Silent Fall (2007) and The Legend of the Sky Kingdom (2004). Roger has been associated with many positions in filmmaking. He is an editor, production designer, writer, actor, and takes charge of the music department. He began his career not just as a director but also as a production designer in the movie 'The Legend of the Sky Kingdom (2004)'. It was an animated film and was based on a children novel of the same name. Phil Cunningham and Jacqui Cunningham was the producer of the movie. Although the film was a low-budget film, it has an artistic taste of set design. He spent two years in building a customized camera out of bicycle parts as the production unit did not have money to buy any professional equipment. In 2007, Roger Hawkins directed a social aspect film. He chose the AIDs awareness theme and he narrated the problems of AIDS that were escalating in Africa then. The film took a narrative of a doctor who was killed for experimenting drugs on AIDS. In 2001, again Roger experimented with another animation movie ' The Lion of Judah' which was produced by Animated Family Films. The film was animated at the Character Maters Animation Studio which is situated in Cape Town and Rocky Mountain Pictures distributed the film. He also composed additional music for this movie. He also has done voice over for a character Hornsby in the movie. Hawkins also directed the TV series 'Jabu's Jungle'(2007). He gave his direction for this series for 26 episodes. It was also an animated adventure series aimed at entertaining children. Gulli Africa distributed the series in 22 African countries.
