Jon Amiel is a film director who has worked both in the UK and the USA. He was born on May 20, 1948, in London. Jon was born in London and was brought up in the East end of London. He studied at William Ellis School and later did his graduation in 1968 in English Literature at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge. He was involved with the local theatre while he was in college, and after that, he went to direct for the Royal Shakespeare Company. One of his notable works is ‘Sommersby’, a romantic drama in 1993. Currently, he is living with his wife Tara, and two sons, Luke and Max, in Santa Monica.
