Gary Halvorson is an American director and producer. After debuting with 'Standing Room Only' which was an entertainment series on HBO, Gary went on to direct many famously acclaimed television shows like 'Jules Feiffer's Hold Me' 'The Country Girl' 'Hizzoner!', 'Kids Incorporated' 'Solid Gold' 'Great Performances'' A Conversation with...', 'Riders in the Sky' 'On the Television' 'Roundhouse.' Originally, Halvorson trained as a classical pianist. He is among the most celebrated television directors of the early 90s and 2000s. He was awarded an Emmy for 'Outstanding Special Class Directing' in a Children's series. He is well known for directing the internationally loved and celebrated show 'FRIENDS' and 'The Drew Carey Show'.
