Kenneth Shapiro

He joined the Hollywood industry in 1976 as a writer for “Monty Hall's Variety Hour.” He completed his education at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. He has written for many famous awards shows namely, “The Golden Globe Awards,” and “The Daytime Annual Emmy Awards” since 1987. He has also written shows in collaboration with other writers. Such shows are “Friday Night Surprise (1989),” “Do It Yourself TV (1990),” “Super Bloopers and New Practical Jokes (1992),” and more. He still writes scripts for the award shows with other crew members. Shapiro is a multi-talented director with perfect skills as a cinematographer, writer, producer, visual effects crew member, and Graphics designer.

He produced “The Golden Globe Awards,” from 1989 to 2004. He has given visual effects in shows like “The Miss America Pageant,” “Emmy Awards,” “People’s Choice Awards,” and some music awards too. In 2020, he returned to his role as a director for The Oscars. He is a two-time “Primetime Emmy winner” and two-time “LA Los Angeles Area Emmy Winner” for his fantastic work in direction and technical support in award shows. He was a nominee for his show “Everybody Loves Raymond” in “The 2002 Online Film and Television Association.” He won the title of “Spirit of Independence” in 2013 at “The Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival, US,” for his Musical Documentary.
