Jenny Beavan, a costume designer who has British Nationality, was born in 1950 in London, England. She assigned as the officer of OBE ( Order of the British Empire ) in the Queen's New Year Honours List of 2017 for her contribution to the Drama Production. Her father's name is Peter, and her mother's name is Molly & they are Cellist and Violist by profession, respectively, and also has a sister. She has studied at London's Central School of Art and Design. The designer married the director Ian Albery, and later got divorced in the year 1985.
Jenny is blessed to have a daughter named Caitlin Albery Beavan ( born in 1985 ), who is a theatre producer. Jenny and her daughter worked in the Third Finger Left Hand of the West End Theatre production at Trafalgar Studios in 2013, simultaneously. She started her career in the year 1978. In the earlier stage, Jenny designed garments for the Merchant Ivory Film, & Hullabaloo Over Georgie and Bonnie's Pictures, without getting paid for the same, which originated her long-term bond with Merchant Ivory Productions.
She showed up her talent in movies such as a comedy-mystery film titled Gosford Park ( 2001 ), a historical drama film titled The King's Speech ( 2010 ), and an adventurous film titled Mad Max: Fury Road(2015). In the 1970s, she worked on the sets of London Theatrical Productions. Jenny has frequently worked with famous Costume Designer John Bright, who owns the costume-rental house Cosprop, and gave him credits to giving her all the knowledge in the starting period of her career.
The Academy Awards has appreciated Jenny's hard work many of the time, honoring her with the Award for Best Costume Design. The fame of the Costume Design Industry, Jenny has also been nominated in Tony Award ( 2002 ), for the Best Costume Design for the theatre drama named Private Lives.
