Alexandria Bombach hails from Santa Fe, Mexico. She is an award-winning filmmaker focusing on character driven stories. Her work challenges the perceptions of ideas, issues, and cultures, which usually have narrow coverage in the mainstream cinema. Frame by Frame, her feature documentary narrates the stories about the lives of four Afghan photojournalists who face the realities of building a free press in Afghanistan.
This movie premiered at SXSW in 2015 post which it won about 18 festivals awards. She also directed and produced the Emmy winning series called Moveshake capturing the internal conflict of people dedicating lives to a cause. She owns a production company named RED REEL which has been producing award-winning films since 2009. Alexandria has spent the last few years since 2010 “on the road” or what she likes to call living “nomadically.”
