Peter Hedges born on July 6, 1962, is a famous American director, screenwriter, and producer. Born in Iowa, United States he attended the Valley High School where he was actively involved in the theatre department including the mime troupe and improvisational group. After that, he attended the North Carolina School of Arts where he studied drama and acting.
Hedges’ wrote a novel WHATS' EATING GILBERT GRAPE which was adapted into movie launching his film career. One of his films ABOUT A BOY received an Academy Award nomination for Best Screenplay. In 2018 he donned the dual role of director as well writer for drama BEN IS BACK, starring his son
