Russell Tovey

Russell George Tovey is a British actor. He was born on 14 November 1981 in Billericay, Essex. His mother's name is Carole Tovey, his father's name is George Tovey he has an older brother named Daniel. He went to Harold Court School and Shenfield High School. At one time, Tovey wanted to become a history teacher due to his love for collecting antics. He also worked as an assistant in Billericay's King's Head pub. His acting career began at a young age as he joined a drama club and gathered the attention of a talent agent.

Russell has first worked in Mud's (1994) children's tv series. He later pursued BTEC in performing arts at Barking College. Patrick Marber's wife, Debra Gillett, cast him in a play Chichester and Howard Katz. Tovey also played a part in His Girl Friday and His Dark Materials. In 2004, he played Rudge in The History Boys.
