Jonathan M. Lovitz well known as Jon Lovitz is an American Actor, Singer, and Comedian. He was born in the Los Angeles suburb of Tarzana, California on July 21, 1957. Jon Lovitz loves making everyone laugh. He got inspired by his friend who made everyone laugh by making funny faces. This happened when he went for a sleepover at the age of 5. His family is Jewish, and his father is a doctor. He has a twin sister named Leslie. They migrated from Hungary, Russia, and Romania. He studied in Irvine at the University of California. He decided that he want to become a comedian at the age of 13. Jon’s comic inspirations are Woody Allen, ‘Al Jolson’, ‘Marx Brothers’, and other comedians. His idols also included his teenage friends. During his teenage, Lovitz loved an elder woman. He was dejected when she got married. Lovitz attended the renowned Harvard-Westlake School in Los Angeles. Lovitz learned drama under the popular acting mentor ‘Robert Cohen’. Lovitz joined the improvisational comedy troupe in Los Angeles called ‘Groundlings’ in 1979. He also worked with acting instructor ‘Randy Bennett’. He wasn’t making much money at that time. So he worked as a messenger to make the ends meet. All his prosperity started when starred with the Groundlings in “The Tonight Show” in 1984.

He became the representative of Subway restaurant chain advertisement campaign 2006. He started his career in Stand-up comedy at Laugh Factory in Los Angeles in 2003. In 2007, he started the ‘Jon Lovitz Comedy Club at Aubergine’ at San Diego. It was sponsored by RR-Ex. He also opened a second Jon Lovitz Comedy Club in Universal Studios Hollywood. It was on Universal Citywalk. The comic film “Borat” and the daily episodes of “The Adam Carolla Show” were shot here.

In 2009, this comedy club was also a native to MMA Roasted Stand-up Comedy show. The club changed to Jon Lovitz Comedy Club and podcast theatre. He appeared in the famous sitcom Friends in two episodes as a guest. He is well known for his acting in Happiness, Big, and The Brave Little Toaster. Jon Lovitz is a versatile comedian famous for his unique voice and sharp wit.
