Peter Jacobson is an eminent personality in the British Film Industry who has given a lot of masterpieces to the British Film industry. He is a well-known American actor with a significant record of albums. He got widely recognized for House M.D. (2004), Transformers (2007), Good Night, and Good Luck. (2005).

Peter was born to Lynn Straus and Walter Jacobson on March 24, 1965, in Chicago, Illinois, the U.S. He was mainly brought up in the former country by his parents only. He belongs to a Jewish Family, coming from Russia, Ukraine, and, possibly, Lithuania. Speaking about his educational qualifications, Peter completed his schooling at one of the prestigious schools in his town and later attended University for further higher studies. Hence, he went to Brown University in Rhode Island and finished his graduation in 1987. Afterward, Peter graduated from the renowned Juilliard School, where Peter was a part of the drama division's Group 20 (1987–1991). After completing his studies, he dived into the world of cinema because of his keen interest in acting. Peter commenced his journey with the Television show NYPD Blue in 1993, where Peter played the role of Reporter #1 in an episode.

His journey began at a lower level, though he worked hard to achieve great heights in his career. In the following year, he got spotted as the character of Dr. Karl Styne in a popular series, Law & Order. He got quite an attention after his role in the former series and appreciation for his acting skills. Also, he landed a few opportunities as well where he got the chance to showcase his talent. At some time, he got featured in several movies including, Spin City, Talk to Me, Will and Grace, Third Watch, Method and Red, and many others. He got immense fame after these mega-hit series and attracted a large audience from all around the world. In 2005, he occurred as Jimmy in the popular film Good Night and Good Luck. This film was a blockbuster hit that received colossal love from the audience and was nominated for the Academy Awards. His other notable works include Scrubs, CSI: Miami, The Lost Room, The Starter Wife, Transformers, Colony, and The Midnight Meat Train. Besides his work life, he got married to Whitney Scott on November 1, 1997. And she got blessed with a son Elijah Hubbell and Owen Bartlett Hubbell.
