Watchman” is scripted and directed by AL Vijay. The film has “ G V Prakash Kumar,” Suman, Samyuktha Hegde, Yogi Babu, Raj Arjun, Munishkanth Ramdoss, Ravi Prakash and “ Swaminathan” in the star cast. Double Meaning Productions produced the film. GV Prakash composed the music. Nirav Shah cranked the camera in association with Saravanan Ramasamy. “ Anthony” edited the film.

GV Prakash and Samyuktha Hegde are in love. GV Prakash has to settle some loan amount, which he had got from a loan shark. Meanwhile, Samyuktha’s parents visit him to fix his marriage with Samyuktha. As GV is in need of money, he decided to steal it and enters in a posh house. But, a dog stops him. GV is stuck now. But, soon he understands the situation in the house and tries to save the owner. What is the dreaded situation? Watch the film in theaters!

Star Performance

G V Prakash has done an excellent job. His acting skills are getting shaped up from movie to movie. Suman excels in his performance. Although there are a lot of stars, a particular set of the star cast is projected and the rest of them are used for support, including the heroine Samyukta. Yogi Babu’s comedy is okayish.

The script is neatly done by Vijay. He has projected the intelligence of the dog and how it is faithful to its owner. But, the screenplay seems to be half baked. If it was scripted with patience, the film would have been more interesting. GV Prakash’s BGM is fantastic. He used silence in some important scenes and that sounds good too. Cinematography by Nirav Shah and Saravanan Ramasamy is excellent.

What’s There?

  • Bruno is the show stealer
  • The second half is impressive with the suspense elements
  • Visuals are okayish in the low light too

What’s Not There?

  • Certain logical loopholes found in the night sequence
  • No role for the heroine

Watchman has its pluses and minuses. But, if we just enjoy the performances of the stars, we might not concentrate on the negatives. Suman’s experienced acting and GVP’s new attempt are definitely worth watching once!
