Plot
Colonel Avinash investigates the terrorist attacks and bombings in India. During his investigation, he gets involved unknowingly in a conspiracy between the ruling party and Pakistan. What happens next? Will he escape from the plot? The rest of the film speaks about it.
Star Performance
Vineet’s performance is good. In some places, it goes over the top. Anuja delivers a satisfactory performance. Manoj and Shataf fit well in the given roles.
Analysis
The story is interesting, and the screenplay is decent. But the execution falters. Though the characters are written neatly, as it is based on the true events, the pace is uneven. Though the length of the film is normal, this script doesn’t need this running time, which makes the audience unengaged in many sequences. In the scene when Avinash is plotted as a victim of someone’s game, the film loses its grip. The subplots, which were supposed to add grip to the screenplay, didn’t do what was needed. The visuals and the BGM are decent, and the editing needed to be a bit crisper.

Match Fixing should have been an interesting thriller, as it has the potential story and screenplay. Due to the weak execution and few writing miss-outs, it lost its grip. However, it can be watched once for its premise and performances!
