Barely a fortnight after its release, ‘Rebel’ has been released on OTT as well. It is currently streaming on Amazon Prime for now. The movie revolves around a Tamil student, who faces discrimination in a local Kerala college, and how he fights back.

Interestingly, Mamitha Baiju is the same actress who shot to instant fame after the blockbuster success of ‘Premalu’, where she played the lead role. ‘Rebel’ was her Tamil debut, which was highly promoted. However, the box office results told a different story. Made on a modest budget of 10 crores, the movie has made only 3 crores from overall collections.

Yet, none of the two are disappointed.
