Plot
Das and Vasanthi are Sri Lankan Tamils, and they have two sons. Due to a tight situation in Sri Lanka during the pandemic, they are unable to run their family. So, they decided to flee to India and finally land in Kanyakumari. Though they were examined by the cops, they escaped using all the sentimental tactics. Finally, they move to Chennai, where Vasanthi’s brother, Prakash, lives. Das gets a taxi driver job. Unfortunately, a bomb blast in the city put the Sri Lankan family in trouble. Only then everyone in their neighbourhood learns that they are from Sri Lanka. What happens next forms the rest of the story.
Star Performance
Sasikumar and Simran travel throughout. They are so natural, and their chemistry is excellent. Sasi’s comedy counters and body language add some weight to the film. Simran is excellent in her role.
Analysis
A debutant directing good actors and quenching their acting thirst is good to see. Simran’s character is finely penned. The director is good enough to get enough potential from Simran. The boys’ roles are also good. Sasi’s effort to mingle with his son is son authentic. The Sri Lankan dialect used is one of the plus points. Kudos to

, Simran’s Aasthaana dubbing artist. She had always elevated Simran’s performances through her voice. The comedy that flows with the story worked out well. The visuals and editing are decent. BGM blends well with the screenplay. The film has its share of minuses. A few template scenes and dialogue here and there. However, they are sidelined by the stars’ performances. Overall, it is a good effort by the director and team!
