Plot
Jithender Reddy was drawn by Gopanna and Ramanna’s policies and developed a passion for community service with strong social justice on one hand. During his college days, he opposed the leftist student unions, which led him to challenge the MLA. He strongly opposes the Naxalites. After seeing the deaths of Gopanna and Ramanna and the Naxalites’ injustices to the poor, he decided to enter the politics. Will he enter politics? Who pulled him, and who supported him? All these are discussed in the rest of the film.
Star Performance
Rakesh Varre did justice to the given role. His measured performance suited the role well.
Analysis
Making the biopic is a good attempt. With a meaty story, the director could’ve developed the screenplay better. The execution lacks depth and hence the impact is lower. The performance of the lead actor is good, but if the narrative had been better, his acting abilities could’ve come out better. There are a few scenes in the first half which fail to engage the audience. The romance portion falls flat and incomplete. The Naxalite story needs more depth in the artists involved. Some well-known stars could’ve been engaged to make those roles impactful. The songs are just okay, and the BGM is decent. The visuals are neat, but the editing could’ve been tighter.
