Rajan Verma is a veteran Indian actor. He is known for his massive work in the Hindi film industry. He has been around since the 1960’s and has always been praised for his vivid roles. He started his career with The Test movie in 1960. He made his entry in Bollywood with it and never looked back. He always had small but important roles in various movies, and that earned him a lot of fans. He appeared in many great movies, which were super hit at box office. He appeared in Kabuliwala, Prem Patra and Bandini in 1960’s. His actual work came to notice when he appeared in Loafer and Amir Garib in the early 70’s. He also acted in a very famous drama film named Scorching Winds (Garam Hava). This play gave him the opportunity to work with some of the finest in the business including A.K.Hangal, Balraj Sahni, and Farooq Shaikh. He played the role of Raj Verma in the film. It was an Urdu based film directed by M.S. Sathyu which gained many positive reviews from the audiences. Later in the career, he bagged some roles in movies which turned out to be the most important movies he ever acted in, the movies like Bidaai in 1974 and Deewar in 1975. His work in these movies gave him maximum exposure as the movies were liked by many across India. He played the role of Lacchu in the epic Amitabh and Shashi Kapoor’s Deewar, which was known to all. He did several other roles in movies like Kotwal Saab (1977), Doosara Aadmi (1977), Noorie (1979), Do Aur Do Paanch (1980). His acting as Munim in Kaala Patthar was one of his famous works. He later worked in Duniya, Angaarey and Dalaal No. 1 till the late 90’s. In 2002, he worked in a TV series named Miit. He played the role of Raj and was an important character in the serial. He always played a supporting role in his entire work and is satisfied with what he did in his career.

Rajat Barmecha emerged to the Bollywood circuit with his role in the Hindi movie ‘Udaan,’ released in 2010. The movie showcased the struggle of a small town boy and how he battles his dreams from his father. The movie was highly acclaimed both by the audience and the critics, which was directed by Vikramaditya Motwane. Rajat also won a nomination for Screen Award for Most Promising Newcomer for the movie.Rajat was born on April 24, 1989, in Ladnun, Rajasthan and did his schooling from Bal Bharti Public School, Delhi. His two siblings Ritu and Vicky are also part of the film Industry. While Ritu has given hits in the Telugu industry, Vicky is waiting for his film, ‘Umeedein,’ to be released on the silver screen. The three siblings together have done Godrej Interio ad, after arriving to Mumbai.Rajat won a National Award in 2011 for his Short Film, ‘The Finish Line,’ and the film was acclaimed. He also made a cameo in Bejoy Nambiar’s Shaitan, and is currently waiting for the release of his film, ‘ Disco Valley,’ where he is sharing screen space with Naseeruddin Shah’s son Vivaan Shah. He describes the movie as a road movie, and one that he finds close to, ‘Dil Chahta Hai,’ ‘ZNMD’ and Hollywood film, ‘Hangover.’ He likes the band Indian Ocean and praises the rock band for helping him find the meaning in the world. He grew close to the band during the shooting of Udaan and is also featured in one of the songs of the band named, ‘Bula Raha Hai Koi Mujhko.’
