Plot
Narcotics operation is done by Aryan, a sincere cop after some drug addicts are caught. A high ranking police officer and an activist died suspiciously and after their sudden death, Aryan starts investigating the case much deeper. Later, he finds that Diwakar, an efficient businessman, is behind the drug Mafia. What happens next? Did Aryan catch Diwakar? Watch the movie to know the rest!
Star Performance
Arun Vijay is smart as usual in his character and his body language and the dialogue delivery are perfect for a police officer. Priya Bhavani Shankar perfectly fits in the role Satya and did a decent job. Yet, she didn’t get any unique situation to open up her skill. Prasanna is a menacing antagonist and impresses the audience with his style.

Analysis
Karthick Naren has penned the story beautifully. His characterization is good. Yet, he should have designed Priya Bhavani Shankar’s role, little better. She appears throughout the movie but didn’t get enough chance to show her full talent. However, she fits well in the role. The character selection is terrific. Arun Vijay and Prasanna did a fantastic job. Besides these people, there are two other heroes; one is the music director Jakes Bejoy and the other is the cinematographer Gokul Benoy. Both of them did a fantastic job and took the movie to the next level. The narration by Karthick Naren is excellent and he maintains suspense throughout. The climax is excellent and it carries the story to the next level and people are highly expecting the sequel.

Verdict
Mafia Chapter 1 is an interesting movie. Although it has a few flaws, the movie is definitely watchable once for the fantastic performance of the stars, excellent narration by Karthick Naren, the BGM by Jakes Bejoy and the cinematography by Gokul Benoy.
