Plot

On 24th August 1984, Indian Airlines flight IC 691 that started from Delhi was hijacked. It was the fifth plane hijack in seven years. The PM Indira Gandhi, who got irritated with these hijacks, decides to make the Pakistan government deal with the hijackers, as the plane was hijacked to Lahore, Pakistan. The flight was later moved to Dubai. Anshul Malhotra, with the code name Bell Bottom, is the RAW Agent, and he plans different in rescuing the passengers from the hijackers and trap the hijackers. What were the steps taken by him, and was he successful in his attempt? The rest of the story deals with it.

Star Performance

Yet another good performance from Akshay Kumar. The actor has done a neat job. Lara Dutta did a perfect job as Indira Gandhi. Vaani Kapoor played Anshul’s wife, Radhika. She fits well in the role and impresses. The rest of the cast, including Huma Qureshi and Dolly Ahluwalia, did justice to the given roles.

Analysis

Akshay Kumar is choosy with his scripts, and his entry scenes receive applause from the audience. The characters are well-made, and the stars fit in them perfectly. The BGM and songs blend well with the script. The writing is strong and engaging and makes the audience not lose interest in watching the film. The production and technical values are neat.

Bell Bottom is yet another wonderful film in Akshay Kumar’s career. With the support of the writing team and director, the entire cast has done a fantastic job. Bell Bottom – Watch-worthy!
