Abhijit Lahiri

Abhijit Lahiri is a famous Indian aged actor who casted roles in various television serials as well as the film industry. Abhijit Lahiri was born on October 24th, 1954, in Ranchi, to the Bengali family of Arun Lahiri and Mira Lahiri. His father was a dancer and a role model for his son. He started training in classical music under the guidance of Late Harihar Shukla Abhijit Lahiri. After that, he went to Calcutta University for graduation. And after graduation, he went to Delhi to attend the National School of Drama where he did his post-graduation in Dramatics with the National Scholarship award for the year of 1980. He telecasted his first serial, “Sahashraphan”, on Doordarshan. He continued to work both in the film industry and in TV serials. Some examples are: the role of Tauji in television serials like Balika Vadhu, and Kabhi Saas Kabhi Bahu.
