Sunit Tandon is well-known by the audience as India Habitat Centre and Chief Executive of Lok Sabha Television. He completed his Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Economics from St. Stephen's College, located in Delhi. Later, he continued pursuing his Master's degree (MA) in History from the same institution. After his education, he has acted in more than 150 plays and performed with Akshara theatre, TAG, Primetime, Natwa, and many more. Sunit Tandon also directed almost 25 plays. In March 2004, Sunit joined as a general manager in National Film Development Corporation Ltd. and worked there until July 2008. During this period, he worked in various sectors of this company and has proven his worth.

Sunit Tandon worked in film production, distribution, export, film services, and many more. Later in July 2008, he accepted the offer to become the Lok Sabha Television Chief Executive. Sunit Tandon is a renowned news and current affairs anchor on Indian National Television (DD and Lok Sabha Television). For almost thirty years now, he has been working as a radio broadcaster on All India Radio. Sunit also gained a lot of reputation by conducting one-on-one interviews with some dashing personalities. He remained the CEO until November 2009 and then joined the Director-General for the Indian Institute of Mass Communication. He still is working under that rank.

Later, in March 2018, he became the Director of India Habitat Centre (still serving). Amidst this busy life, Sunit Tandon acted in a few movies and showed everyone how well he could manage time and stress. Sunit appeared in a guest role in the film Axone (2019), as Dhruv's father in the Indian anthology horror film named Ghost Stories, with a release date in 2020. Sunit Tandon also played the role of Dr. Jha in the drama/romance film Dil Bechara (2020). He also signed a project where he portrayed the role of an ISI officer for the movie Bellbottom.
