While learning music as a kid, Amaal developed an instant liking towards the piano. He did his schooling at Jamnabai Narsee School and graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from N.M College, Mumbai. To pursue his interest in music he studied the piano at the prestigious Trinity College of Music (Western Classical, Jazz, and Rock).

He is also informally trained in Indian Classical Music under the able guidance of his grandfather Sardar Malik. Amaal started his music career at a very early age. Amaal Mallik is a very popular singer and music composer in the industry. Amaal belongs to the music family only. His grandfather is Sardar Malik and he is the son of Jyothi Malik and Daboo Malik. His brother’s name is Armaan Malik and he is the nephew of Anu Malik who is an amazing singer and music composer.

Amaal started learning music when he was the age 8. He liked to play piano a lot when he was a kid. In the year 2014, he composed three songs for the film Salman starrer Jai Ho and did a great job. Amaal is the eldest son amongst his siblings.

He completed his studies at Jamnabai Narsee School and did his Graduation from N.M College in Bachelor of Commerce. He later studied piano at Trinity College of Music. In Trinity College of Music, he learned Music under Joy Bose, Benny, Tony Pinto and Xavier Fernandes.

His grandfather Sardar Mallik also trained him in Classical Music. Amaal started his career when he was very young and after finishing his grade 10, he got to assist background scorer and music composer Amar Mohile. He did the soundtrack of the movie Sarkar in the year 2005 and Shootout at Lokhandwala in the year 2007 with Amar Mohile.

When he was of the age 15, he started arranging and producing music for his father in the films like Kisaan in the year 2009. He did the song Mere Desh Ki Dharti with the popular singer named Daler Mehndi. He also got the chance to assist Pritam on many albums in the year 2008 to 2011.
