He has worked with one of the most famous ecologists Bittu Sehgal and he also works for the noble cause and foundation of Save The Tigers. Emmway Entertainment, a motion picture production company has one of its co-founders as him. Nikkhil was born in the heart of Bollywood, the city of Bombay(now called Mumbai).

His father is a now retired and former professional who has worked at senior managerial posts for various multinational pharmaceutical and chemical organizations. His mother used to work as an advertising professional and is Maharashtrian. Whereas, his dad is a Sindhi. He completed his primary education from Green Lawns High School which is in Breach Candy. Breach Candy is a place in Mumbai.

He then went on to complete his Masters in Chemistry from the prestigious St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai. S.S Sippy, the late Hindi film producer, was his uncle.
