Plot

The film is about an Indian soldier, Arjun Shergill (John Abraham). The film begins with a military operation under the leadership of Arjun, in which the Indian Army takes control of the dreaded terrorist Rehman Gul. They also save a suicide bomber who is Rehman’s son, Hamid Gul. Now, Arjun meets Ayesha (Jacqueline Fernandez). Ayesha is an air hostess. They start loving each other. But their love does not last for long. The airport is attacked by Hamid Gul’s men, and several others, including his girlfriend Ayesha, are killed. Arjun also gets injured in the fight and ends up with paralysis, neck down. He can neither walk nor move his hand. His life is confined to a wheelchair. His mother (Ratna Pathak Shah) takes care of him. Now comes another twist in the film. Vadraj Kumar Subramaniam (Prakash Raj) and Scientist Saba (Rakulpreet Singh) enter the film. Dr. Saba is working on an advanced scientific technology that can help paralyzed people stand up on their feet. This technology can make the person a super soldier. V.K. Subramaniam, a high-rank officer of the Indian Government, put forward Arjun’s name as the test for this technology. While this experiment was in progress, Hamid Gul and other terrorists attacked the Parliament and captured several union ministers, including The Prime Minister and Dr. Saba. Hamid demands the release of Rehman Gul.

The Parliament is under siege. Will the technology work? Will this technology enable Arjun to become a super soldier and save the prime minister and other ministers from the clutches of the terrorists? Will Arjun successfully stop the chemical bomb explosion in the nick of time?

Star Performance

The action done by John Abraham is terrific. The action scenes in this film are superb. Because of this, it gives tough competition to Hollywood. The love chemistry between John and Jacqueline Fernandez, in the beginning, is also fantastic. Even Rakul Preet Singh, Ratna Pathak Shah, and Elham Ehsas did everything required.

Analysis

The story of the film is good. If you want to enjoy an entertainment film without logic, then this film will be a treat for you. When the trailer of the film came, many people predicted that this film of John Abraham is inspired by the bloodshot movie of Vin Diesel “Salute Mi Familia” this could be his infamous fra >> Read More... or the Universal Soldier movie. But there is nothing like that. The filmmakers said that this movie is inspired by DRDO (Defence Research and Development) because DRDO is also working on a similar project. The film is edited perfectly. Its two-hour runtime does not seem long enough.

 What’s There?

• John looks flawless in his super soldier avatar. His mental and physical strength is visible throughout the film.
• The action scenes in the movie are superb.
• Tight editing and engaging screenplay.
• Rakul delivers a genuine act and looks confident on screen.

     What’s Not There?

• Some fine actors, like Ratna Pathak Shah (Arjun’s Mother) and Rajit Kapoor ( Home Minister Home Minister belongs to the game show genre. Zee >> Read More... ), were not given enough room to show their performances.
• Some scenes in the movie are impracticable.
• The ending of the movie seems a little early.     

 Verdict

Attack: Part 1 is an action Sci-Fi film. The visuals and sound of the movie are very impressive. Watch John Abraham doing action at his best after a long time, and don’t care too much about the impracticable world this film takes you to. People who love Sci-Fi movies are going to enjoy it.
