Plot
Chellaiah is a doting father to his only son. He doesn’t want his son to get stuck with any issues but to lead a happy life. This is what all the parents want. But, his son wants to do things on his own and joins a biggie, which lead him to get caught in a web of illegal things. What happens next? Will Chelliah get his son back? The answers to these questions form the rest of the story.
Star Performance
Prabhu played his part well. He looks adorable as a doting father. Though his performance is natural, due to the single-dimensional character arc, his character didn’t get much elevation. Vetri tried to do his part well; so did Krishnapriya. Komal makes his Tamil debut with this film, yet another typical antagonist role.
Analysis
While reading the plot, you’d have understood that the plot has nothing unique. It is an outdated plot with outdated character weaving. The characters are not dealt with in detail, and hence, the performances of the stars went in vain. The screenplay should’ve been better. It lacks the much-needed grip. Certain scenes appeal to be lengthy. It doesn’t slide smoothly from one point to the other but just jumps. Though the father-son relationship is shown well, some intimacy is lacking between them. The emotional scenes lack impact, and the twists are not attractive. When we expect the second half with some better screenplay, it disappoints. The camera work is just okay but not impressive. The music and edits should’ve been better.

Verdict
Despite the crispy running time, the film appeals lengthy due to improper screenplay and characterization. If you love watching retro rural movies, you can try this for Prabhu’s charm!
