Remakes are a trend which is followed in all decades. Especially in South Indian Film Industry, a majority of the movies are remade from other languages. It is not always true that if a movie is a hit in one language, it will be a hit in the other languages where it is made too. Many movies fail in remakes mainly because the expectations of each language audience are different from the other language audiences. It is left to the director how he makes the remade movie a success. It is not only Hindi movies which are remade in South Indian languages, but Sandalwood films are also remade in many Indian languages. Let us see a small list of these movies.
