Sharanya Shetty is an Indian model and actress who mainly works in the Kannada film and television industry. She is also a classical singer and dancer. On May 11, 1999, she was born in Hosanagara, Karnataka, India. She hails from the Shimoga district in Karnataka, India. Her father's name is Shivanand Shetty, a working professional. Her mother's name is Shamala Shetty, who is a housewife. She completed her early education at Florence High School, Bangalore. She completed her Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree from the famous Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering (DSCE) in Bangalore. Sharanya Shetty spent her childhood in her hometown. Sharanya Shetty started learning and practicing modeling in her early days while pursuing her bachelor's degree. Later, she participated in and won several modeling competitions.

Initially, she chose modeling as her career before going on to the acting field. She professionally made her debut in modeling in 2018 by participating in Miss Queen of India, where she made it to the finals. Also, she took part in many social media events and won Miss Social Media India in 2018. She also won the titles such as Miss Beautiful Smile in 2018 and Miss South India in 2019.
