Nayanthara

Nayantara also called as Nayanthara Kurian, is a renowned Indian actress from Kerala. She was born on 18th November in the year 1984 in Bangalore that is situated in Indian province Karnataka. Her actual name is ‘Diana Mariam Kurian’ the daughter of ‘Omana Kurian’ and ‘Kurian Kodiyatto’. Due to her father’s service, she stayed in several places of India. She joined in “Mar Thoma College” for attending her B.A in English Literature. Besides study she also initiated her modeling career.

As she was indifferent towards building her career in the film industry she denied her first offer, but at last she agreed to do the film ‘Manassinakkare’ where she was casted opposite Jayaram. This was a financially successful movie thus she was blessed with film offers. Consequently she was featured in two movies opposite Mohanlal in Shaji Kailas’s ‘Nattutajavu’ as well as in ‘Vismayathunbathu’ by ‘ Fazil’ that was a psychological suspense movie. She is really a great actress and dedicated one too, Nayantara had a tattoo of a scorpion on her back for her movie Billa 2. It was a temporary tattoo. Her last movie was critically acclaimed.

Her acting career is not confined to Malayalam Film Industry; she played the lead in several Telugu and Tamil movies as well. She started acting in Tamil Movies with Hari’s, ‘Ayya’ which gave her a great fame. She has received several awards for her performances in ‘ Sri Rama Rajyam’, ‘ Raja Rani’ and ‘Manassinakkare’. She also won awards for ‘ Bodyguard’ and ‘ Yaaradi Nee Mohini’. Her personal life was always in turmoil and she was alleged to have an illicit affair with Prabhu Deva. She even had a tattoo on her hand reading Prabhu Deva with letter ‘P” in English and rest in Tamil. Then she broke up with him. Now she is with the director Vignesh Sivan and she has even changed the tattoo on her hand to “Positivity” which earlier was “Prabhu Deva”.
