Her mother’s name is Chandravathi. She has two brothers named Dudhyanth and Pandu. Seetha fell in love with Tamil actor Parthiban and married him in 1990. They gave birth to two daughters and a son named Keerthana, Abhinava and Raakhi. Seetha took divorce from Parthiban in 2001 and married TV and film actor Satish in 2010.

Seetha is a film and TV actress and producer. She has started acting from 1985 and continued up to 1990 and took a break from acting for some time and started acting again from 2002 and still continuing. She has entered the film industry with the Tamil film Aan Paavam in 1985. She has acted mainly in Telugu and Tamil films and has also acted in few Malayalam and Kannada films too. Her first Telugu film is Chaduvukovali. She has acted as heroine in earlier days and after that she has acted in supporting roles. Seetha has acted in some Tamil and Telugu serials. She has acted in the Tamil serials Velan in 2002, Penn in 2006 and Idhayam in 2010 for SUN TV. The serial Penn was dubbed into Telugu language. She has acted in a Telugu serial called Gopura Kalasam for Zee Telugu.
