Dhivyadharshini is a Tamil TV show host and compere. She is well known throughout Tamil Nadu as ‘DD’. Many newspapers praise her as the most successful compere in the history of Tamil TV industry. She came into this field under the compulsion to make her elder sister and brother study and to meet her family’s ends.
Dhivyadharshini was born in Chennai to Tamil Brahmin parents. She lost her dad at an early age and she entered the TV industry when she was 14. She acquired the chance to host Vijay TV’s ‘UngalTheerpu’. The bubbly actress was loved by everyone on the sets who predicted a history behind her. She was never let go from her alma mater Vijay TV though she had acted in serials in other channels too.

DD’s got married to her childhood friend Srikanth, who served as Gautham Vasudev Menon’s assistant director. She frequently mentions about her late father, who she misses throughout and dedicates all awards to him and Vijay TV. She also lends her voice for several heroines, mostly in Venkat Prabhu’s movies ‘Saroja’ and ‘Goa’. She did her B.A, M.Phil through correspondence in Loyola College, since she was the most sought TV host and will continue to be the same for years to come.
