Bharathi Baskar

Besides being a Tamil orator and talk show host Bharathi Baskar is a Vice President at a multinational bank. Her husband is a Chartered Accountant and a finance head for a mobile phone company. She has two daughters, both of them are studying in school. Bharathi started out giving speeches since her school days and has been a public speaker for more than a decade now. She hosts the talk show ‘Magalir Panchayathu’; the show revolves around women and discusses the numerous topics and issues concerning them. She also did a segment on the Mangaiyar Choice Program showing on Sun TV. 

Bharathi is currently hosting her TV show in Sun TV called ‘Vaanga Pesalam’, along with Raja, her co-host. She is also famous for her debates in the shows conducted by Prof. Solomon Pappiah. Bharathi has travelled far and wide including countries such as U.S.A., Canada, Dubai, Singapore and Indonesia to represent in various Tamil conferences. She is also popular for her contribution to literature. She has written numerous short stories for Kalki, a popular Tamil weekly magazine. Various articles about self-improvement and motivation have been subscribed by her for different magazines. Bharathi also wrote a script for a daily serial “Nee nadi pola oodikondiru”, which is also published as a book by Vikatan publishers. 

Bharathi’s work has been widely acknowledged and appreciated by audience worldwide. She received the Best Speaker award by Humour Club in 2010, the Rajeev-Mooppanar award for ‘Sadanayalargal’ in 2007, and Sriram group’s Bharati Kalai Ilakkiya Virudu in 2011.
