In 2007, Monisha and her co-star Irfan participated in the second season of Jodi No 1, a dance reality show on Star Vijay. They were among the eight couples who competed for the title. As the play had a lot of dancing sequences, Monisha had to attend dancing classes under the guidance of choreographers. As the team got praises from the critics, the troupe decided to stage its musical in various cities across the country. The musical also involved the use of live singing too. On 20 July 2012, Monisha got hitched to Arjun Thomas at The Green Meadows in Chennai. Monisha wore a white gown for the Christian wedding ceremony. After marrying Arjun Thomas, Monisha stays away from the TV industry. Monisha and Arjun Thomas are blessed with a baby girl, and they settled in Toronto, Canada.
