Savithri Rajeevan is a poet from Kerala. She was born in 1956 in Malappuram in Kerala. Savithri is also a short story writer as well as a painter. So far, she has released 4 sets of poetry collections and fiction. She is a graduate in Malayalam literature and completed her graduation from the University of Kerala. Besides this, she also studied Fine Arts at the University of Baroda Faculty of Fine Arts. Some of her interesting works are Ammaye Kulippikkumpol, Savithri Rajeevante Kavithakal and Sanchariyude Thanupoya Veedu.
Savithri had been the jury member of Kerala State Chalachitra Academy. She had been the Vice President of Lalit Kala Akademi. She served as the Advisory Board Member of the Kendra Sahitya Akademi. Savithri received various awards for her works. Some of them are: Kamala Surayya Award in 2011 for Savithri Rajeevante Kavithakal, Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award in 2016 for Ammaye Kulippikkumbol. Other than these award-winning poems, she had also written poetry books, including Cherivu and Dehantaram. She had been in a live-in relationship with Rajeevan, the popular Malayalam author cum critic, since 1975.
