Manamboor Rajan is one of the most successful Indian poets who works predominantly for his Malayalam inland magazine. Manamboor is the editor of magazine ‘Innu’ and his magazine established the Limca Book of Records by becoming the longest-running magazine. Technology is at its peak and everything is available on phones so people are not much involved in reading books.
But, impact of Manamboors' magazine was stronger than anything as it managed to interest people. Innu came into existence in 1981. Manamboor told about his early life when he worked in Raja Ravi Varma Library. In that time too, Manamboor’s work was recognized and when the library thought of bringing literary magazines, they didn’t give a second thought and made him its editor. He remained a part of the library for five years. Later, Manamboor worked as a clerk at police superintendent’s office in Kannaur, then he switched the place, and worked in Thiruvanthapuram. But, his passion for writing never left him, and finally, he launched Innu.
Manamboors' idea of a short magazine was unique because other big magazines were already in the competition. Also, due to their busy schedule, people don’t often read big magazines, therefore publishing small magazine was a smart move. Manamboor Rajans' dedication and work have directed him towards glory. We hope his magazine expand its range more.
