Vidhya Vijayakumar is an actress popular for her roles in Malayalam films and TV serials. Vidhya was born and raised in Ottappalam of Thrissur district in Kerala. She is a trained singer and a classical dancer. During her school days, she used to participate in singing competitions, dance and drama. Vidhya didn’t have a cinema background. Her parents are also against her entry into the entertainment world. That’s the reason why she couldn’t enter the industry, even though she got selected to play in a Malayalam serial when she was doing her tenth standard. However, Vidhya attended a lot of serial auditions while doing her graduation.
After completing her PG in Journalism, Vidhya was placed as a PRO in Kochi Infopark. After she got an opportunity to anchor on Surya TV, she quit her job. Besides doing anchoring on the TV, Vidhya took part in modeling, hosting the shows as well as interviewing celebs. She had also participated in the beauty contests and grabbed the runner-up position in the 18th Miss South India contest.

In 2020, Vidhya had some solid roles on her hands in movies, including Ahaa and Iru. In Iru, she played the second female lead. Besides playing in the films and web serials, Vidhya had also played in theaters. Her first theater experience was with Bon Voyage, directed by PR Arun. On the personal front, she is happily married to Akhil.
