Kalaranjini

Kalaranjini was born in 1962 at Trivandrum, but she grew up in Chennai.  She has acted in more than 75 films. She is known for her characters in movies like Sreekrishnapurathe Nakshatratilakkam, Annorikkal, Nandanam, Swapnakoodu, Kalyanaraman, Kochi rajavu, Puthiya mukham and How Old are you.  Her parents were both theatre artists. She is the elder sister of actresses Urvashi and Kalpana, who are both very famous in the film field. She began her journey as a heroine at the age of 14 in the movie Swantham Enna Padam directed by Sreekumaran Tampi.  Under his guidance, she acted in many more movies. Kalaranjini has a son Prince (Ambotty) who is now a budding actor.
