Kalabhavan Dileep

Kalabhavan Dileep’s real name is Gopalakrishnan Padmanabhan Pillai, bornon 27 October 1967;he is better known by his screen name Dileep.The actor changed his screen name from the 1994 release ‘Manatee Kottaram’; the movie was Dileep’s first hit movie, and Dileep was the character name he played in the movie. As the film was a success, the actor, and decided to change his screen name to Dileep. He is an Indian producer, actor, and businessman who works in the Malayalam film industry. In 150 + films he has acted, for which he received 4 Kerala state film awards and a Filmfare awards south. Dileep was born in Kerala, in Ernakulam district. His parents’names are Padmanabhan Pillai and Sarojam.

He has a brother named Anoop and a sister named Sabitha. He is eldest among three siblings. He completed his 10th standard in 1985 from Vidyadhiraja higher secondary school in Aluva. For higher secondary, he joined Union Christian College, Aluva(1985–1987). He even pursued a degree from Maharaja’s College, Ernakulam in history. He began taking impressionist acts seriously when he was in Maharaja’s college.Dileep and his friend Nadirshah’s production and performance in the Onam- based audio cassette (album) titled “De Maveli Kombathu” played arole into his entry in the film industry. ‘Grand Production,’ the film production company, was founded by Dileep in 2003.C.I.D Moosa was its debut film. ‘Kathavasheshan.’ In 2008, his production ‘Twenty: 20’ was a step toraise funds for the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA).In this film all the major actors were starred and this film became the highest-grossing Malayalam film until then.
