Suzanne Collins is an American author and scriptwriter born in Hartford, US, on August 10, 1962. After her high school graduation in Alabama, she earned her degree from Indiana University in Drama and telecommunications. Initially, Suzanne worked in Nickelodeon. In 1991 during the early stages of her career, she focused on children’s fantasy novels. Her first productive work was Gregor the Overlander. Next released The Underland Chronicles. In 2008, ‘The Hunger Game’ trilogy was released, which is a worldwide popular series.
Suzanne Collins’ father is an Air Force officer, and hence her family was supposed to shift frequently. Her father poured much of his war knowledge into his four children that made her reflect in her famous book, Hunger Games. The dystopian fictional series displayed the outspoken criticism of government and people in society.  2020 released The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is her other work and a companion piece of Hunger Games. Fire Proof, When Charlie McButton Lost Power, Year of the Jungle are her other notable books. In her personal life, she joined her hands with Charles Pryor, blessed with two children, and now lives in Sandy Hook, Connecticut. Suzanne Collins received awards such as CYBIL Award, Authors Guild Award, and many other prestigious awards.
