Beau Willimon is an American playwright and screenwriter. He was born on 26th of October, in 1977. His birthplace was Alexandria, Virginia, in the United States. He was the son of Henry Pack Willimon and Nancy. His father was the head in charge of the Navy in the United States. Beau is a resident of Hawaii, in San Francisco, California, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His father retired to work as a lawyer. It led to his job in 2000 at the Senate Campaign of Hillary Clinton, 2000's presidential camp of Bill Bradley, and 2004's Howard Dean program. After his graduation, he worked in Tallinn under the Estonian government. He wrote thousands of pages of summaries of the E. U. documents. Then, he left the US and headed to Vietnam in order to present himself in a magazine. He researched on the life of Tomas Vu, who is an art professor, and lived in Vietnam.

He did not have any knowledge of theater. Therefore, he quit his drinking habits and focused on his ambitions. He had a scholarship and had the offer to write 40 lithographs based on paranoia. In 2003, he did odd works such as searched jobs for the homeless people, set builders, painters and gallery assistants, after receiving an MFA in playwriting. He was an instructor who would give SAT preparation classes. He was an alumnus of the Juilliard School. He had won the Juilliard Playwrights Fellowship and Lecomte du Nouy Award.

He had written a drama, Farragut North. It premiered at the Atlantic Theater Company. Other works include 2007's Lower Ninth, 2008's The Flea Theater, 2010's Manhattan Theater Club, 2013's The Parisian Woman, and 2014's Breathing Time.

He had several performances for Ars Nova, MCC Theater, Phoenix Theater of Chicago, HERE Arts Center, London's Battersea Arts Center, South Coast Repertory, and Cherry Lane Theater. He wrote the script of The Ides of March. It had nominations at the Academy Awards and Golden Globe Awards.
