She is also known for starring as Natalie Henning in the Oprah Winfrey Network prime-time soap opera If Loving You Is Wrong (2014–2020). She got her first major break on CSI: Miami (2002-2012) in 2006, followed by winning the series-regular role of Darcy Hawkins on the cult favorite Jericho, and a bit part of Spider-Man III came in 2007.
Parker also made several years of guest appearances and character work on television in shows such as ER, Lie to Me, The Defenders, The Chicago Code, and Prime Suspect. During this period, she held a recurring role in two series: the rebooted teen soap 90210 (2008-2013) and the more-serious family drama The Fosters (2013-2018). Later, Parker appeared on Lost, The Unit, NCIS, and Scandal. She has also had several recurring roles in 90210, The Young and the Restless, The Fosters, The Resident, The Last Ship, and S.W.A.T. In 2014, Jones made the cast as one of the leads in the Oprah Winfrey Network prime-time soap opera, If Loving You Is Wrong. She portrayed the role of Natalie Henning, the single working mother. In 2015, Jones also had a recurring role as detective Claire Bryce in Shondaland’s legal thriller How to Get Away with Murder and the following year on Lifetime comedy-drama, Devious Maids.
