Skrillex, who is also known as Sonny John Moore, is a DJ, singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and produces electronic dance music. He took birth on January 15, 1988, in Highland Park, Los Angeles, California, United States of America. At the age of two, his parents, who were Scientologists, shifted to Forest Hill, San Francisco. He completed his elementary education there. However, they later moved back to their hometown. At the age of 14, his parents decided to educate him at home as bullies in his school were harassing him. At 16, he learned that his parents had adopted him. Though his parents followed Scientology, he didn't. He lost his mother in June 2015. In his teenage years, he became increasingly addicted to music and would attend gigs in Mexican American, Echo Park, and few clubs in Silver Lake. He started his career with From First to Last and then later collaborated with Boys Noize and gave birth to a project named Dog Blood.
The songs that Dog Blood created were all popular. He then made a partnership with Diplo, and together with the duo, who rechristened themselves Jack Ü, and they did a tour. In 2004, he auditioned for the lead guitarist position in From First to Last, in front of Derrick Thomas, McHale Butler, and Eric Dale. They selected him. Together, they released several albums and went on numerous tours. He then parted ways with From First to Last to focus on his solo career. He has also performed with Hollywood Undead. In 2008, he began presenting as a DJ at various clubs under the pseudo name Skrillex. He also worked with 4Minute, a girl group, to enter the industry of K-pop.
