Maren Morris

Born on April 10, 1990 in the city of Arlington, Texas in the United States of America, Maren Morris was raised along with her younger sister, Karsen. While in Texas, Maren was fond of music right from her childhood days when she used to sing on the karaoke machine in the local hair salon where her parents used to throw parties. This was continued in school when she started writing poems and later on, lyrics for the songs. At the tender age of 12, she was first given a guitar, a gift from her father! Morris moved to Nashville at the age of 20.

Instantly she started working on her songwriting skills working with innumerable co-writers and churning out many more songs such as ‘Last Turn Home’ for the album ‘Sundown Heaven Town’ and Kelly Clarkson’s single ‘Second Wind’! This was followed by ‘All That It Takes’ and ‘Live Wire’ which came out in 2007 and 2011 respectively. The big break came in 2016 when the critically successful album ‘HERO’ was released! It reached #5 on Billboard 200 and also ranked #1 on the Top Country Albums.”HERO is a very special album for Maren as she has mentioned in her interviews that the songs have been very close to her heart! 2016 was also special for Maren because her single ‘My Church’ was recognized with the award for Best Country Solo Performance at the annually held 59th Grammy Awards.

Other than her songwriting and music projects, Morris is also active on television appearing in CMT Crossroads along with Alicia Keys and NCIS: New Orleans in the episode of ‘Pandora’s Box’!
